Scott Minnis
Photography has always been in Scott’s blood. His father, an exceptional photographer, gave Scott the opportunity to observe, learn and grow, and to appreciate the world through a creative lens. That influence helped shape Scott's eye early on, but everything changed the day his father placed a camera in his hands. What began as a spark quickly became a defining passion.
Now an active member of the vibrant photography community in Port Alberni, British Columbia, Scott can often be found capturing moments for the Heritage Society, documenting live music events across Vancouver Island, or working with clients on everything from weddings to heartfelt portraits, including capturing furry loved ones as precious keepsakes.
A true creative spirit, Scott’s talents extend beyond photography. Whether he’s working as a chef, cultivating bonsai, or writing and performing original music on his guitar, creativity and passion are at the core of everything he does. Deeply grateful for the opportunity to capture the beauty of the Alberni Valley—its landscapes, its energy, and its people—Scott considers every moment behind the lens a privilege and a blessing.
